Article of Agreement, Mary Vickers and John Ash Vickers, 1813

Articles of Agreement made between:

1.    Mary Vickers of Leeds in the County of York, widow of Joseph Vickers late of Leeds, patten maker, and

2.    John Ash Vickers, eldest son of the late Joseph Vickers

Agreement for both parties to become partners and joint traders in the trade and business of patten makers for the term of four years.

The agreement outlines provisions relating to capital stock, bookkeeping, credit restrictions and settlement of accounts. requirements, division of profits and losses, credit restrictions, annual settlement of accounts and settlement of disputes through arbitration.
